Torque Estimating Guide
Our torque estimating chart is designed to give you a quick overview of proper torque values for a variety of stud and nut sizes as well as stress areas. Having the right torque values is important during tensioning to ensure that the bolt becomes a solid spring to clamp your materials together. Improper preload can cause structural failure, which not only affects production but is also a safety concern for your workers.

The recommended torque in this document are offered as a guide only. Torque specification should be determined under actual assembly conditions due to the many variables involved and affect torque-tension relationship.
